Droids: everyone needs a droid or two.

I always wanted my own robot that would do something, anything, just so it was mine and it responded to me or did something for me.

R2-D2Well, now I have two. One that is cute and funny,  and one that actually does something for me.

1st, my little Interactive R2-D2, he rocks! I've had sooo much fun with him, chasing my cats, warning me of intruders into my office and just wandering around my house making cute noises.

2nd is my Roomba, this is the coolest thing to come along in a long time. A Robot that actually has a purpose. Not just to run around and be cute. This little guy can vacuum my whole living room in about 15-20 minutes. It's really amazing! 3 hours to charge the battery, set it in the middle of the room, push a button and walk away. It comes with these little units that shoot out an infrared beam that act as an ivisible wall. Put them down and aim them across a room or doorway and the Roomba will stay in the defined area. It won't fall down the stairs and even executes escape maneuvers if it gets kinda stuck. It's just downright amazing!

And it works! Not just kinda works, it WORKS! Cat hair, cat litter, Christmas Tree pine needles, dirt and dust I didn't even know was there.  With it's side beater brush it gets the dirt out of of the edges of the room better than our upright vacuum. There is a mode for cleaning just a small area and it even knows when it has found a real dirty area and it will stop and super clean that area.

I'm telling you boys and girls. Dollars to Dollars, this is a worthy investment. Prices start at under $200 and go up from there with the more advanced models, ok a little more then the R2, but it actually does something! If you want more info on the little guy, just click the pic.

And one more thing. If you do ever have an issue or problem with your Roomba. Don't be afraid to call their Customer Support. They are the best! Very helpful, always friendly and just super people!
